Interview With The Artist: Liz W.

Today I interviewed the artist, Liz W. Izzy4Anime, as she is known on DeviantArt, is a 37 year old traditional and digital artist from Missouri. She grew up listening to classical music. Classical music is what inspired her to become an artist, “I was inspired by what I heard in the music itself.”

The first thing she ever drew, ”It was of two hills coming together at the horizon with a river in between them. The drawing also had a sunset with a few birds.” Liz has been drawing ever since she could hold a pencil.

Her favorite type of art to create, “Anything environmental and fantasy design.” Liz loves to read and write, mostly poetry, fan fiction, and fantasy. Her tools of the trade include a graphite pencil, acrylic paints, and oil paints. Liz excels at her anime art and I really enjoyed her Yu-Gi-Oh artwork.

Free Speech

I fail to understand why so many individuals feel as if their opinions are the only ones worth listening to. Some people either shove their opinions down your throat or call you a racist simply for disagreeing with them. It certainly seem as if a great deal of people these days react this way when speaking to anyone who has an opposing view. Last I checked however, this is still America. In America, everyone is entitled to voice their own personal opinions, EVERYONE.  Everyone should be able to voice their personal feelings and beliefs, without having to fear some type of retaliation or punishment. If you’re allowed to kneel without condemnation, then you should also be allowed to stand without receiving condemnation. Not just Democrats, not just Liberals, and not just Leftists. Not just Republicans, not just Conservatives, and not just the Right.   It’s also important to remember that individuals can disagree with one another and still remain friends. The Evil Eye

The evil eye protection charm is a blue talisman that is round in shape, typically made of glass. The talisman contains an outer dark blue circle, an inner white circle, followed by an innermost light blue circle with a black dot (as in the eye’s pupil) painted on it. It is a protection charm that an individual wears, or carries, to protect themselves from any and all unwanted danger and/or evil spirits. Legend says the evil eye protective charm calls upon an otherworldly presence that reflects any malicious and vengeful glares/curses from a spiteful individual. The spiteful person believing that an innocent person (the victim of the curse) somehow wronged them, and so wishes harm towards that innocent individual.  The evil eye talisman (or charm) was created to protect someone from this evil eye curse.
